The Invisible Garden
The Invisible Garden
With very little text, this book lets the illustrations tell the charming story of a child swept away into a world much bigger than herself.
A young girl and her family leave the city for the countryside to celebrate her grandmother's birthday. Someone suggests that Arianne, as the only child at the party, might enjoy exploring the garden rather than listening to the adults chatter. Arianne isn't sure what to do in this quiet garden, and she quickly lies down out of boredom. But then she spots a pebble... and a grasshopper... and flies off on a dandelion pod into the cosmos, discovering the freedom of her imagination.
