This species differs from our field strawberries and cultivated strawberries with creamy-yellow fruits and plants that do not produce runners. It comes from an old line prized for its very sweet fruits produced continuously throughout the season, until frost.
The nectar-producing white flowers attract a variety of pollinating insects. Because the fruits lack a stalk, they fall off on their own when ripe. Furthermore, they must be eaten or processed quickly, as they spoil shortly after picking.
Due to its tillering habit, this exceptional strawberry plant is suitable for growing in planters, but also as ground cover.
