Saint-Icitte at the end of the world
Saint-Icitte at the end of the world
Saint-Icitte is a small village located at the very end of the world, where tradition and custom hold pride of place. Where an enormous hourglass is used to measure the passing of time—unless you forget to turn it over! A place where trades are passed down from generation to generation, like family names.
One fine morning, an old shepherdess and her hundred goats settle on the small hill at the edge of the village, disrupting the daily lives of its inhabitants. This is because no one has ever come from elsewhere to settle here – they didn't even know that there was an elsewhere! In the small hamlet where nothing ever happens, a wind of panic blows, rumors and gossip circulate. What if the threatening clouds that have been hovering over the village since the shepherdess's arrival were the result of an evil spell?
Saint-Icitte du bout du monde revisits the tales of yesteryear to paint a unique and amusing picture, filled with humor and poetry. Saint-Icitte is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. It's a village, a town, a neighborhood, a school. In short, it's where difference sometimes struggles to carve out a place.
