This parsnip produces long, smooth, tapered roots with a very mild flavor. The beautiful creamy beige roots with white flesh gain in flavor when harvested after the cold weather sets in in autumn. They can even tolerate a little frost. The seeds take about three weeks to germinate in deep, loose soil that must be kept constantly moist. The roots can reach 25 cm in length.
