Children of the Lichen
Children of the Lichen
In this collection, the poet's voice blends into the memory of the territory, of culture, of her roots, the memory of the intimate body as much as the atrophied memory of History. The first part, Children of the Lichen, underlines with tenderness and a desire for healing the urgency of not turning a blind eye to the disappearances of children and women, to exclusion, dispossession, and contempt. With the second, A Bullet in Reserve, anger reasserts its rights. These two inseparable parts call upon the duty of remembrance.
