The virtues of this heritage variety are considerable: a very high yield of excellent quality cucumbers and equally good tolerance to downy mildew and cucumber mosaic virus.
A dark green skin dotted with black spines covers fruits that are 15 cm long when ripe. The firm, crisp flesh impresses with its flavor, both in the small and mature fruits. This variety, highly prized for processing into pickles, is also a must-have for sliced vegetables and salads.
Climbing plants grown on trellises grow to 1.2 m in height.
