Bivouac
Bivouac
The struggle for territory can be beautiful. Riopelle puts all her heart and all her art into it, contributing to the Bivouac en plein bois as a last chance to save both Gros Pin and a humanity in disarray. Meanwhile, at Ferme Orléane, Anouk and Raph are working hard in the earth, carried by the possibility of revolutionary agriculture and living together... as well as the promise of enough preserves to return to spend the winter in the warmth of their den. But where some see an ally of Nature to protect, others see a resource to exploit. Until the wood creaks, the earth cracks. "I wander. A tree speaks to me. I reach out to it, a beech my age, to stroke its smooth bark. Touch wood. My arms are stiff as ski poles. I say an unspoken prayer. Forest, help me."
