Swiss Chard - Rhubarb Red

This bright red-petioled selection is aptly named, as the untrained eye could mistake it for rhubarb. The beautiful dark green leaves with red veins form a lovely upright bouquet 40 cm high by 30 cm wide, as attractive in the vegetable garden as in the flowerbed! The delicate flavor of its leaves lacks the bitterness found in other varieties, making it particularly popular with connoisseurs.
Rhubarb Red is very heat tolerant, allowing its leaves to be harvested all summer long.
