Against the tide
Against the tide
A report drawn entirely in watercolor, which takes you on a journey of discovery into seaweed farming.
With Scarlette Le Corre, we meet a "fisherman-boss alone at sea," as she always introduces herself at first glance. But she is also a pioneer of seaweed farming in Brittany, an outstanding trader, a chef, an activist, a lecturer. A personality, in short, whose fame has far exceeded her native Guilvinec!
This story is the logbook of a week spent at the pace of Scarlette Le Corre's many activities, at the tip of southern Finistère (Brittany). We discover the fishing world but also the great variety of algae present in Brittany and their benefits. The writing of the
journalist is superbly illustrated by tinted watercolors
humor by Lauriane Miara which wonderfully reflect the beauty of the Breton landscapes.
